Panama Canal Authority Requests Proposals for New Water Management System


The Panama Canal Authority has announced a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a new water management system project. The tender for the engineering, design and construction is aimed at maintaining an adequate water supply for both Canal operations and local consumption for the next 50 years.


Panama Canal Administrator Ricaurte Vásquez has described the project as "the Canal's largest investment since the Expanded Canal in 2016”.


Most-qualified firms will be shortlisted by year’s end and pre-selected bidders will be invited to submit best value proposals for water management projects in the Canal.

  • Proposals deadline: November 12, 2020.

  • All the information submitted shall be in the English language.
