New sanitary measures for travelers entering the Republic of Panama
Executive Decree No. 102 of July 1, 2022, establishes new measures for travelers entering the national territory:
All travelers over the age of five (5), nationals, residents, or foreigners, entering the national territory by air, land or sea, must have a complete vaccination schedule or, at least, two (2) doses of the SARS-CoV-2 virus vaccine, or the vaccination schedule approved by their country of residence or origin.
The traveler must complete a digital registry prior travelling, providing proof of vaccination.
Any traveler without the complete vaccination schedule must provide, prior to boarding, at the port of embarkation or to the transport company, a negative COVID-19 test (antigen or PCR), taken in a certified clinical laboratory in the country of origin, with a maximum of seventy-two (72) hours prior to boarding, within a maximum of seventy-two (72) hours.
Children under the age of five (5) are exempted from any type of COVID-19 test if their parents, guardians, or caregivers comply with the complete vaccination schedule, or provide a negative COVID-19 test (antigen or PCR).
These new measures will be in effect as of July 18, 2022.
