Practicing lawyer since 1981, specialist in Civil and Commercial Litigation, Labor Law and
Arbitration. He has represented important banking institutions in emblematic cases of liquidations and other highly complex affairs, insurance companies, construction sector companies and under special regimes such as the Colon Free Zone, among others.

In the public sphere; He was President of the Presidential Commission for the Drafting of the Single Text of the Political Constitution of Panama in 1995 and also he was member in 2005. In addition, he was Deputy of the Republic (2004-2009) being President of the Government, Justice and Constitutional Affairs Commission and First Vice President of the First State Organ.

He was a professor of Political Science at the Universidad Santa Maria la Antigua. He is currently a member of the Panama Bar Association (Treasurer 1991-1993 / President 1993-1995); Central American Federation of Lawyers (Regional Vice President 1993.1995 and Member of the Executive Committee / President 2016-2017); Panamanian Association of Business Executives (APEDE) (President of the Legal Affairs Commission 1992-1993); Inter-American Bar Association (IABA)  (President of the Panama Chapter and Global President 2017-2018); Chamber of Commerce,  Industries and Agriculture, Counselor of the Center for Conciliation and Arbitration and member of the Arbitrator list of CeCAP.
 

He has a degree in Law and Political Science, graduated from Universidad Santa María la Antigua (USMA), Panama.
